Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources is the water and sanitary sewer provider for the City of Peachtree Corners, and it bills for both. Drinking-water problems and water main breaks go to the county. The county is responsible for the pipes that bring water to your meter.

Under its 2019 sewer policy, Gwinnett County maintains the sewer mains and the short stub to the edge of the right-of-way or easement. If the county's access point at the edge of the street right-of-way is dry but the house is still backing up, the blockage is treated as the owner's. County staff then do no further work, and the owner hires a plumber.
Gwinnett Water Resources says historically over 70 percent of reported backups are in the privately maintained section, most often roots entering at the 4-inch-to-6-inch connection. The owner pays for damage to the public sewer caused by roots growing in from the private lateral, so clearing roots early matters.
Any establishment with food preparation of any type must have at least one 1,500-gallon exterior grease interceptor. Gwinnett allows only 1,500-gallon units, so larger needs are met with several in series. Plan review for an existing trap asks for a manifest from the cleaning company.
